S. in 2014 as a member of the outstanding students’ group from the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music from China. Pet Adoption: The Jackson County Animal Shelter will hold a special reduced-fee dog adoption day from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23, at the animal shelter, 5595 S. Film Screening: An Oregon-made film, “Elemental,” which invites us to reimagine our relationship to wildfire, will be screened at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Southgate Cinemas, 1625 Ringuette St., Grants Pass.
