It was also a tumultuous time, when struggles over civil rights, the Vietnam War, political assassinations, and gender equity sometimes made it seem the world was coming apart. Pagliasotti, who covered counterculture and music with press credentials and a backstage pass, will discuss this era in music and how it developed its own culture.
